  • School Closure Extended to May 15

    Gov. Roy Cooper extended school closure to May 15 in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

  • No School Visitors Please

    To limit the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), all schools are closed to students as directed by Gov. Roy Cooper. Effective Friday, Mar. 20, the school district will restrict visitors who are non-employees on all school campuses and educational sites.

  • Update on School Closure and Instruction

    The first week of school closure has been used primarily for reaching out to families, providing basic needs, such as meals, and planning for delivery of instruction to students. Tuesday, Mar. 24 is a districtwide day for parents and/or students who prefer paper copies or do not have connectivity or access to an electronic device for online instruction to pick up packets of student assignments.

  • School Closure Information

    Parents may pick up their children's personal items or medication if these items are critically needed during the school closure period. Items may be picked up during regular school hours on Tuesday, Mar. 17. Please exercise all state and federal guidelines for maintaining a healthy school environment.
