Dealing with Disruption
It’s normal for innovation theory to focus on disruption as a catalyst for change. But, what’s not normal is the COVID-19 level of disruption that we are now facing.
In normal circumstances, we would innovate in stages. Some of us would embrace innovation from the beginning of a disruption, some would be early adopters, and the rest of us would come along as we felt inclined to move.
However, that’s not our reality. On Monday, March 16, 2020, we were all forced to become innovators and dive headfirst into the virtual world of “Remote Learning.”
As always, we’re better when we work together. At this website, we are looking toward our "new now" and beginning to consider how the difficulties of COVID-19 can help us rethink the way education is done and innovate to meet the needs of all our students.
