Mr. Blake Rogers

Mr. Rogers graduated from Appalachian State University in May of 2021 with a Bachelors degree in Middle Grades Education for English Language Arts and Social Studies. He has been a NCHSAA wrestling official for 3 years and has been an assistant coach for wrestling, baseball, and football at Granite Falls Middle School. Along with expressing an interest in sports, he is also a certified scuba diver and has travelled to 6 different countries. He will be teaching 8th grade English Language Arts and Social Studies this year on a team with Mr. Mullaly and Mrs. Hindman.

Lessons and assignments will be posted in Google Classroom. All students and their parents are invited to join (students through county email address). If you have any trouble accessing Google Classroom, or have any questions, please let Mr. Rogers know. Email works best anytime, and the planning period for Mr. Rogers is from 10:00-11:26 every day if you need to call (828-396-2341 ext. 336244).

8th Grade Orientation will be Thursday, August 25, from 5:00-7:00 pm. There will be a form available in the classroom for all parents/guardians to fill out so that this team of teachers has the most current, updated list of phone numbers and email addresses to ensure the most efficient communication between teachers, students, and parents/guardians. Please arrive early and exercise caution when parking, as 6th and 7th grade orientation will be taking place at this time as well.
