  • Immunizations Form

Rising 7th-graders need immunizations. Please note that your child is required to have adolescent vaccine boosters. The NC Law requirement for the incoming 7th-grade is one Tdap and Menactra immunization. Please have these completed for your child asap and then send in an updated vaccination record to the school office. Thank you in advance for your cooperation with this law. The immunization form can be found under the Parents and Community tab.

  • HMS Rocks!!

Parents, Students and Staff have the opportunity to “Rent the Rock”. Our spirit rock is a wonderful way to recognize a student’s birthday, show school spirit, thank or recognize a teacher or staff member, publicize accomplishment or celebrations, etc. HMS has two spirit rocks available to paint. It’s simple to rent one of the rocks. Just pick up a form from the school office, reserve your week, pick a spirit rock, pay $10.00, and paint the rock. Proceeds from the Spirit Rocks go 100% to school programs, in-school initiatives, and events for HMS PTO.

  • Donations Needed for our STEM Room!

We are creating a STEM lab in our school.  STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math.  We are building our vision for this space, and we need your help.  Donations of any of the following materials would be greatly appreciated.  You may drop these materials by the school office at any time during the school day.  If you have questions about materials, contact Misty Key at or 728-4281.  Thank you for your help as we explore the world and inspire your child to dream of his/her future and all the possibilities that await.
