Transition Specialist

     The Transition Specialist for the Alternative Schools serves as a liaison between the alternative setting and other Caldwell County Schools in order to provide guidance, tools, strategies, and support in dealing with at risk students in the regular classroom setting. The Transition Specialist will do observations of the classroom and assist schools in helping to determine the correct plan of action for students who need extra support or possible placement in an alternative setting. They will follow up with students after placement in an alternative setting while offering support to family members.  The Transition Specialist, will also follow up with students and serve as a resource once a transition has taken place back to a student's home school. It takes everyone working together for the success of the student!
