Mrs. Lynn Bojko

Lynn Bojko began her career in public education after spending seven years helping adults get a diploma in a local GED program. This experience inspired her to enter public education to help students have a positive educational experience the first time around. A graduate from Appalachian State University, she taught middle school for one year before coming to Caldwell Applied Sciences Academy to teach secondary Math and Science and has recently taken over as head of the Life Sciences Academy.

Mrs. Bojko’s classroom is set up on research based best practices in instruction which include a lot of group work and projects in addition to traditional working of problems and integration of technology for extra involvement. Real world applications are integral to understanding of concepts, and these types of assignments aid to the overall goal of helping learners of all type identify with the content.

In addition to teaching, Mrs. Bojko is an artist; having earned her first Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art from East Carolina University. She is now sharing her knowledge in this area with students in the school’s Art Club. Students in this club have the opportunity to learn to draw, paint, and create 3-dimensional art of various media; as well as meet working artists and learn about opportunities to show their work.  Mrs. Bojko’s artistic interests also lend themselves to preparing for CASA’s prom each year, of which Mrs. Bojko will be directing this year.

Mrs. Bojko enjoys sharing all of her passions with her students and aims to create a nurturing environment where students can come each day to learn academic and life skills to move them forward through high school and beyond. She welcomes any input and questions about her classes, the Life Sciences Academy,  and the CASA experience. For further information, please contact her via email or phone at the school.
