Dr. Lesa Widener

Dr. Widener is the former Title I Director and is currently serving as Elementary/Title I Director. She received her Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Gardner-Webb University in May, 2014 and this is her 30th year in education. Dr. Widener has always lived in Caldwell County and attended Caldwell County Schools as a student. She has taught elementary school in grades 1, 2, and 4. Previously, she has served as a Curriculum Coach and Assistant Principal.

Tabitha Call

Tabitha attended Appalachian State University to complete her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Master of Arts in Elementary Education, and an Add on Licensure in School Administration. She taught in Wilkes County Schools for three years. Having a love for Caldwell County, where she completed an internship, she returned to teach at Davenport A+ for eight years and is currently an Elementary Instructional Facilitator for the county.

Lucy Cook

Lucy attended Appalachian State University for her degree in Elementary Education K-6 and her masters in Reading Education K-12. She taught in her hometown of Fayetteville, NC before moving to this area and teaching at Sawmills Elementary Schools for 16 years. She has been an Instructional Facilitator in Caldwell County since 2009.

Barbara Fisher

Barbara attended UNC-Charlotte for her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Special Education. She was an EC teacher prior to becoming a Curriculum Coach in 2006 and then an Elementary Instructional Facilitator in 2009, all with Caldwell County Schools. She presently serves as a member of the District MTSS Team.

Brandon attended Lees-McRae College for his undergraduate degree in Elementary Education. His graduate degree in Curriculum and Instruction was completed at Gardner-Webb University. Brandon taught 5 years at Hudson Elementary before becoming an Instructional Facilitator in 2018.

Randy Seldomridge

Randy attended Fairmont State College in WV for his undergraduate degree in Elementary Education K-8.  His  graduate degree is from Appalachian State University with a concentration in Reading Education K-12.  Randy also has AIG certification from UNC-Pembroke and Learning, Design, and Technology:  School Specialist certification from UNC-Charlotte.  Randy taught at Dudley Shoals Elementary for eight years then at Granite Falls Middle School for fourteen years prior to becoming an Instructional Facilitator in 2019.

Redeana Smith

Redeana attended Appalachian State University for both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Elementary Education. She taught in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County schools for five years before moving back home. She spent another three years in the classroom before becoming an elementary Instructional Facilitator for the county in 2012.

Angela Steele

Angela attended Appalachian State University for both her Undergraduate degree in Elementary Education (K-6) and Graduate degree in Reading Education (K-12). She taught in Caldwell County Schools for 10 years at Whitnel Elementary School and Hudson Elementary School in various grade levels. She became an Elementary Instructional Facilitator for the county in 2018.
