Hello! I am Marie Brown and I teach first grade at Baton Elementary School.  I knew when I attended kindergarten that I wanted to be a teacher.  My teacher, Mrs. Bias instilled a love for learning that still exists today.  I graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Elementary Education.  I have taught kindergarten, first, second, and third grade.  Each year has been very rewarding and I feel blessed to doing what I love each and every day.  

My husband and I have two beautiful daughers, Charli and Kendall.  We also have a rescue dog, Claudia.  As a family, we love to hike, hang out wtih our family and friends, and play basketball.
