Welcome to my page!  I teach 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade here at Horizons.  The focus in my classroom is teaching students the behavior and emotional skills that they need to be able to return to their home schools. We work on learning to recognize when they are getting upset, how to calm themselves down, how to ask for help, and understanding that everyone gets upset.  We just need to learn how to properly express our emotions. 

However, that does not mean that we do not do academics!  We work hard every day to improve our ELA and Math skills and learn new things in Science and Social Studies.  I love to see their faces when they figure out how to do something that they have been working hard to learn!
