  • Change for Children Campaign

    Next Monday, March 25th, we will begin our annual Change for Children Campaign. This is a county wide effort to support Robin's Nest, a center for severely abused children. Change jars will be in every homeroom for students to bring in spare change, bills or checks. The homeroom bringing in the most change will win a donut party. Other activities will be planned by Student Council. Bring in some change on Monday!

  • Meeting for Atlanta Band and Chorus Trip

    There will be a mandatory parent meeting for the 8th Band/Chorus trip to Atlanta on Monday, March 25 at 6:00 in the WLMS gym.

  • Great job Science Olympiad!

    WLMS students competed at Science Olympiad this weekend and did a wonderful job. The following students placed at competition. Aiden Flannigan and Caleb Robbins 5th place in Potions and Poisons and 3rd place in Circuit Lab. Kassidy Church and Myra Tejaminil 5th place in Boomilever Locke Riddle and Ryan Sedlacek 5th place in Water Quality Jeremiah Greene and Mya Greene 5th place in Crime Busters Jaymen Tate and Riley Tate 1st place in Roller Coaster These students represented WLMS well and we are very proud of them.

    Congratulations to the amazing WLMS Battle of the Books team for their 2nd place win at the county competition. These students worked so hard this year and we are proud of their accomplishments!

    Attention: A possible case of chicken pox (also called varicella) has been reported in a child attending William Lenoir Middle School and your child may have been exposed. Your child was given a letter today explaining "what you should do". Please refer to this letter for answers to any questions that you may have concerning this matter.     WLMS is proud of the students and teacher/coach who participated in the North Carolina Interscholastic Cycling League race #1 for 2019 at Brown's Creek in Elizabethtown, NC. We had six middle school athletes participating. There were 470+ middle and school school athletes there.     WLMS would like to congratulate Lily Anne M. and Grayson H. for their wins in the Caldwell Soil and Water Conservation competition. Lily Anne won in the 6th grade Poster and 6th grade Slide Show contest. Grayson won in the 6th grade Essay contest. We are proud of both of these students!

  • Girls' Soccer Tryouts

    Girls soccer and track tryouts will begin Mon, March 4. You must have a CURRENT physical to participate. There is a sign-up sheet on the athletic board for girls interested in trying out for soccer. Any girls interested in being a soccer manager should also sign up.
