    Attendance Policy

       

    All absences/tardies require documentation. Refer to Board Policy 3200. 


         Refer to the following chart for a list of consequences for unexcused absences:

     

    CONSEQUENCES FOR UNEXCUSED ABSENCES

    1st Offense Warning 
    2nd Offense Parent Contacted 
    3rd Offense

    Lunch Detention (1) Day (Failure to report is 1-day ISS)
    4th Offense After School Detention, 30 min. (1) day (Failure to report is 1-day ISS)
    5th Offense 1 Day ISS
    6th Offense 1 to 2 Days ISS
    7th Offense Administrative Decision

     

     

    SIGN-OUTS

    Safety and liability issues necessitate that the school require a parent/guardian/emergency contact be physically present in order for a student to be signed out.  Therefore, parent notes, phone calls, faxed, etc. to leave school generaly will not be accepted.

    All sign outs will be unexcused until proper documentation is presented to the Attendance Dean.

    3rd Offense  Lunch Detention (Failure to report is 1-day ISS)
    4th Offence  After School Detention, 30 min. (1) day (Failure to report is 1-day ISS)

    6th Offense Parent Conference / Administrative Decision

     

    UNEXCUSED TARDY

    Include, but are not limited to: missing the bus; oversleeping; inclement weather; car trouble; babysitting; taking a day or part of a day studying for a test; paying bills; looking for a job; getting a driver's license; family vacation or trips.

    1st Offense  Warning 
    2nd Offense  Parent Contacted (Alert Now)
    3rd Offense  Lunch Detention (1) Day. (Failure to report is 1-Day is ISS)
    4th Offence  After School Detention, 30 min (1) day.  (Failure to report is 1 day ISS)
    5th Offense After School Detention, 30 min. (2) days. (Failure to report is 1 day ISS for each missed day)
    6th Offense 1-Day ISS, Parent Contact, 1-Week Loss of Driving Privilege
    7th Offense 1-Day ISS, Parent Contact, 2-Week Loss of Driving Privilege
    8th Offense 2-Days ISS, Parent Contact, Loss of Driving Privilege for the Semester

     

     

    PARTICIPATON IN ALL EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES INCLUDING,
    BUT LIMITED TO PROM & GRADUATION, IS AT THE DISCRETION OF THE PRINCIPAL.
