• ATTENDANCE/TARDY/SIGN-OUT POLICIES

     


    Absences:

    All absences require documentation.  After absences per class, students will be required to bring in an official note according to Board Policy 3200 in order to be coded excused.

     

     

    Consequences for Unexcused Absences: 
     

    1st Unexcused Absence Warning
    2nd Unexcused Absence Parent Contacted
    3rd Unexcused Absence Lunch Detention (1) Day
    4th Unexcused Absence After School Detention 30 min (1) Day. (Failure to report is 1-Day ISS)
    5th Unexcused Absence 1 Day ISS
    6th Unexcused Absence 1 to 2 Days ISS
    7th Unexcused Absence Administrative Decision

     


    Consequences for Unexcused Tardies:

     

     

    1st Tardy Warning
    2nd Tardy Parent Contacted (ALERT NOW)
    3rd Tardy Lunch Detention (30 min for 1 day) Failure to report is1-Day ISS
    4th Tardy After School Detention (30 min for 1 days) Failure to report is 1-Day ISS
    5th Tardy After School Detention (30 min for 2 days) Failure to report is 1-Day ISS for each missed day
    6th Tardy 1 day ISS, Parent Contact, & Loss of Driving Privileges for 1 week.
    7th Tardy 1 Days ISS, Parent Contact, & Loss of Driving Privileges for 2 weeks
    8th Tardy 2 Days ISS, Parent Contact, & Loss of Driving Privileges for the semester

     

    Consequences for Unexcused Sign-outs:
    Safety and liability issues necessitate that the school require parent/guardian/emergency contact must be physically present with a picture ID in order for a student to be signed out.  Therefore, parent notes, phone calls, faxes etc. to leave school generally will not be accepted.

    Participation in all extra-curricular activities including, but not limited to Prom and Graduation, is at the discretion of the Principal.
