    SATURDAY, JUNE 4, 2022 - 8 PM TO 12 AM, BO'S IN LENOIR

    The Class of 2022 is invited to Project Graduation on Saturday, June 4, from 8 pm to 12 am at Bo's Entertainment in Lenoir. No cost to graduates! You can bring a guest for $10. Celebrate until midnight with food, drinks, arcade, mini-golf, bowling - winning prizes: TVs, Chromebooks, furniture, etc., and CASH! If you register by May 17, your name will be entered into a $100 drawing.

  • Robin's Nest

    Child Abuse Awareness 

    In support of The Robin’s Nest, Caldwell County Children’s Advocacy Center, Caldwell County Schools is again sponsoring a district wide fundraiser called the “Change for our Children” Challenge. The Robin’s Nest coordinates resources to serve child victims of severe abuse. Since the doors opened in July 2011, the agency has already served over 1759 children and adolescents.

    We are asking all schools to participate in this challenge April 25th - May 10th. During this time, students can donate their change to support this worthy cause. If you would like to donate electronically, please click here.

    GFES Spirit Night at the Hickory Crawdad's game on Friday, May 13th at 7:00 pm (fireworks too!). Click Here to purchase tickets

    - EOG testing for 3rd-5th grades will be on Friday, May 20th, Tuesday, May 24th, and Wednesday, May 25th. 

    - No school on Monday, May 30th, in observance of Memorial Day.

    - Friday, June 3rd will be the last school day for students.

  • Rent the Spirit Rock

    Rent the Spirit Rock!

    For only $10 a week, you can "rent" one of our spirit rocks here at GFES. The rocks can be painted with a message for your child, such as "Happy Birthday", or "Congratulations", or any other special message/occasion! Please contact Mrs. Anderson in the office to reserve your week today.

  • COVID-19 Information

    Anyone showing symptoms of Covid-19 or who may have been exposed to Covid-19 SHOULD NOT BE AT SCHOOL.  If you answer YES to any of these 3 questions, please stay at home.

    1. Have you had close contact (within 6 feet for at least 15 minutes) in the last 14 days with someone diagnosed with COVID-19, or has any health department or health care provider been in contact with you and advised you to quarantine?
      YES - The person should not be at school . The person can return l 4 days ofter the lost time they hod close contact with someone with COVID-19
      NO - The person con be at school if they ore not experiencing symptoms.

    2. Since you were last at school, have you had any of these symptoms?  Fever (100.4 F or higher), New cough, Chills, Shortness of breath or difficulty  breathing , New loss of taste or smell
      *If a person has any of these symptons, they should go home and call their health care provider.

    3. Since you were last at school, have you been diagnosed with COVID-19>
      YES - If a person is diagnosed with COVID-19 based on a test, their symptoms, or does not get a COVID-19 test but has had symptoms, they should not be at school and should stay at home. 
      NO - The person can be at school if all other questions ore "NO"

  • Drop-off/Pick-up Procedures

    Drop-off begins at 7:30am. School starts at 7:55am.  Please download the Drop-off/Pick-up Procedure file. It will give you specific informaton by grade level on where you need to drop-off your child for school.  Thank you very much for your patience and support.
