    To view State Test reports, parents must use their Parent Portal account.  Once logged in, under Navigation, select State Test Reports.  Your students' test results will be displayed.  Please contact your schools Data Manager if you are experiencing problems with your account.

  • Free Summer Meals for Kids 

    Children ages 0 to 18 are invited to eat free lunch meals at seven different locations this summer in Caldwell County.   

    USDA works closely with states to ensure that children who receive free or reduced-price school meals can get the nutrition they need when schools are closed. Through USDA's summer meal programs, CCS Child Nutrition Department will serve meals to kids up to age 18 at no cost starting June 5 through August 18. There are seven meal sites at the following locations; Sawmills Municipal Park, Redwood Park, Yokefellow, Mulberry Recreation Center, Katz Corner Apartments, Poplar Street Apartments and Martin Luther King Jr. Center.

  • Digital Device Survey in PowerSchool Parent Portal  

    The NC Department of Public Instruction is requesting that parents/guardians provide information on the quantity and type of student access to digital devices and home internet. To assist in this effort, an optional parent survey is available in the student information system in the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Click here for Parent Portal.
    Follow the directions here to access and complete the survey: Digital Device Survey Directions
    This survey will be available through the end of the 2022-2023 school year.
    If your student was issued a Caldwell County Schools device, it is recommended that you use that device to complete the survey.

  • New Half-Day Preschool Program Opens in August 2023

    Are you looking for a preschool program to help your child develop school readiness skills? 

    Caldwell County Schools is pleased to announce a new half-day preschool program for 3, 4, and 5-year-olds. Jump Start Preschool Academy (which will be one classroom) is located at Whitnel Elementary beginning August 2023. Each slot will be for 2 half-days per week. Classes will be held in four cohorts: Monday/Wednesday mornings, Monday/Wednesday afternoons, Tuesday/Thursday mornings, or Tuesday/Thursday afternoons. On Fridays, a 20-minute Zoom session will be held for family fun activities. Priority will be given to 3-year-olds.

    Caldwell County Schools will provide free meals for children ages 0 to 18 years old from June 5 through August 18 at seven different locations throughout the county to ensure that while students are enjoying their summer break they are also receiving a healthy, nutritious lunch.

    Caldwell County Schools Receives Grant Funding to Advance Digital-Age Teaching and Learning

    The Caldwell County Schools' grant proposal was one of 18 funded in North Carolina through the state’s Digital Learning Initiative for the development and dissemination of local innovative digital learning models. The goal of the competitive grant program is to have effective digital learning practices spread across the state in public schools.

    Free Breakfast and Lunch Meals for All CCS Students - Effective Aug 28, 2023 for Four Years

    All students in grades PreK-12 will eat breakfast and lunch free effective August 28, 2023, the first day of the 2023-2024 school year when the implementation of a major advantage to all families in the school district begins. The no cost breakfast and lunch servings on school campuses will be in effect for four years as part of a key provision in the Healthy Hunger-Free Kids Act.
