Mr. Sanderlin

Guten Tag!

Welcome to Mr. Sanderlin's school website! This is my 7th year at Hibriten and my 18th year teaching German or Spanish.  After many years away from North Carolina, my wife and I feel blessed to be back in our home state. My wife and I both teach for Caldwell County Schools and are coaches.  I coach the Hibriten Cross Country team and a Lenoir Force Classic League Soccer team. We have three children who also attend Caldwell County Schools.

My current class schedule is:

1st period: Planning

2nd period: Spanish I

3rd period: German III/IV Honors

4th period: German II

For more information on class overviews, the German program at Hibriten visit the external site Herr Sanderlins Webseite (Mr. Sanderlin's Website).

If you are enrolled in one of my courses, please view the weekly posting of essential notes, stories and labs under "classwork" on classroom.google.com when signed in to your student Google account.

I love to share knowledge of the languages and cultures of German- and Spanish-speaking countries.  I also like connecting with others that are willing to contribute to this endeavor.

Thanks to the hard work and collaboration by teachers, this community and colleagues from regional universities and national organizations, Hibriten High School offers unique opportunities not available at many other schools in the United States.  German Club undertakes multiple field trips each year giving students a chance to visit German Programs at nearby universities such as Appalachian State University and UNC-Charlotte.  Caldwell County students are able to host German students every two years. There are also opportunities to study abroad for individual students through programs such as the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange scholarship, Friendship Connection and other options.

Please contact me at my school e-mail if you have any questions or comments.

Mit Freundlichen Grüßen,

Herr Sanderlin
