Mrs. Shana Stewart

Mrs. Stewart is a native of Caldwell County.  After graduating from West Caldwell High School in 1992, Mrs. Stewart continued her education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  Then, in 2008, Mrs. Stewart earned a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from Appalachian State University. In the fall of 2008, Mrs. Stewart was hired by Caldwell County Schools serving William Lenoir Middle School.  The 2020-2021 academic school year marked Mrs. Stewart's 13th year at WLMS.  Currently Mrs. Stewart teaches Math and ELA in both a Co-teaching and Resource Setting.

Mrs. Stewart is the proud mother of two daughters, two-step daughters, and one step son.  Her oldest, Aja, is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill and is currently living in Yongin City in South Korea where she teaches English to children ages 3 to 10.  Her youngest, Aiden, is an 8th grader at William Lenoir Middle School and participates on the WLMS Wrestling Team, WLMS Beta Club, WLMS Student Council, WLMS Black History Quiz Bowl Team, and the WLMS Poetry Recitation Team.   Jasmin, is a Senoir at UNC-Greensboro; Jada, is completing her final year of high school; and Isaac is in his junior year of high school.

When not at school, Mrs. Stewart is active member of New Covenant United Methodist Church and enjoys spending time with her husband Christopher, her children, and her extended family.
