 A BIT ABOUT ME:

I am blessed to have been teaching at Granite Falls Middle School since 2014. I am so excited to be here again this year!

I started my teaching career in 1996 teaching high school, then went to a middle school and taught for two years.  The high school called me back and I taught many different high school science courses including Physical Science (Physics and Chemistry), Biology, and Earth/Environmental Science.  I later became an Assistant Principal at that high school and served in that capacity for almost four years. I took a break from public school education by taking a corporate job in training schools all around NC on how to use a particular educational software during an interim of about 2 years.  I missed the classroom and students, so I came back to teaching at a combined Vocational/Alternative School working with students in grades 6-12 for two years before joining the team at GFMS.
