I want to take this time and welcome you to my 5th grade!  It is going to be an exciting year of learning and I look forward to working with your children.

I have been with the CCS system for 22 years.  I began my career at Dudley Shoals Elementary and then moved to Oak Hill School.  This is my third year at Baton.  I have many years of experience in the fourth and fifth grades.

I am originally from Southwest Virginia.  I grew up in a small town called Saltville (near Damascus, VA).  I graduated from Emory and Henry College and came to NC to be near my sister.  I received my Masters Degree from ASU and my National Board Certification in 2001.  My husband Curtis and I have been married for 31 years.  We have one son and a couple of old barn cats.

I am so grateful to be a part of this wonderful community.  I am blessed to be part of a school that cares so much about students and their families.
