Favorite Educational Quote and Why
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.- Nelson Mandela.
I believe that teaching students HOW to think is far more important than teaching them WHAT to think. When we know better, we do better. My hope is that when students leave my classroom, they are fully equipped to challenge, head on, any wrong they see in the world and are prepared to stand up and do something for themselves and others.
Why I Became An Educator
My degree in mental health led me to working with children and their families, which in turn, led me to my passion for teaching. I always knew that I wanted to be involved in the shaping of young minds, to make a real difference in the lives of others.
Favorite Places in Caldwell County
My favorite spots in our county are the ones on the rivers and creeks, and our magestic mountains and valleys. I love all things nature!
I have a real passion for reading about history of our area, surrounding counties, and America history. I want to absorb the rich history of our land. I also love reading mysteries and realistic fiction. I love to kayak and be outdoors as much as possible! My time is most often spent with my 2 daughters and my 2 dogs.
