Experience
 I have been in education for the past 29 years. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from ASU and a few years later my Master’s Degree in Middle Grade Reading. I taught in Wilkes County for 16 years before coming to Gamewell in 2009.
Favorite Educational Quote and Why
“Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” I love this quote by Malcom X because education will take you places, and it’s never to early to start preparing.
Why I Became An Educator
 I am an educator because so many people in my family were educators. Through their stories and love for teaching, it inspired me to want to follow in their footsteps.
Favorite Place In Caldwell County
I do not live in Caldwell County, so I would have to say that my favorite place is Gamewell Middle School!
Activites
I enjoy spending time with my family, mowing, reading, swimming, riding bikes, and learning my latest sport—golf.
