Bill Schreiber is in his first year as principal of Gateway School. Previously, he has served as principal of the Caldwell Career Center Middle College and Granite Falls Middle School. At both schools, he led a faculty dedicated to inclusive educational settings focused on "hands-on, minds-on" engagement of students with science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) education. In his 15th year in public education, Bill holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, a Masters of Arts degree in School Administration and is currently pursuing his doctorate in Educational Leadership from Gardner-Webb University. Prior to working in public education, Bill spent 23 years in the United States Navy. Bill is a member of the Granite Falls Rotary Club, NC Principals and Assistant Principals Association, Association of Middle Level Education and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. He serves as deacon at his church and is active in youth ministry. Additionally, he enjoys the outdoors, sports and inspiring students to reach their highest potential.
