Gateway Family,

We, here at Gateway, are so excited to be starting another academic school year. I want to thank our students and their families for all the hard work you put in to get through a challenging year last year. I hope the summer months have reenergized your drive and passion to have another successful academic year.  I am proud of the dedication and experience our staff has to offer your children. We will continue to build on our firm foundation of excellence in education. The vision I have adopted as an educator goes well with the mindset of our staff: Everyday your child will learn. Every day, every student will work hard. No excuses.

As demands and complexities of teaching children increase, it becomes even more evident that we need to work together to ensure that our students, your children, reach their potential. We believe that it takes all of us, our school and our community, working together to ensure success for all of our students. We believe it is a shared responsibility to empower each child with the creative, intellectual, and decision-making skills necessary for him or her to become academically, socially, physically, and emotionally successful, responsible members of society.

With that in mind, you are encouraged to be an active participant at Gateway. Whether you are checking PowerSchool daily, joining us for Student Support Team meetings, Title I events, or special events, we encourage you to be involved in your child’s education! We value the personal knowledge you have of your child, and we look forward to your involvement and support!

It is our desire to keep you informed of all that is going on at our school. You can find up-to-date information on PowerSchool or by contacting your child’s teacher. If you have any questions or concerns that arise, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher or myself. It is our desire to be a team for the success of your child. 

Again, we are very excited about the 2022-2023 academic school year. We strive to be a school alive with energy, enthusiasm, and a high standard of learning. Here’s to an exciting start to 2022, where Gateway is a great place to work and learn!
