    SAT word of the day is egress (EE gress). The meaning of egress is a place or means of going out, exit.

    STUDENT INFORMATION:  

    Attention students interested in taking Forensic Science: The requirements for taking Forensic Science is changing.  You will need to have taken Physical Science and Math 1 before signing up for the course and biology will no longer be a requirement.  Come and join us to learn how crimes are solved using all types of science.  It's guaranteed to be a blast!

     

    (PPt. slide) Attention students interested in taking Video Production or Media Assistant Class: Great Attendance, references from 2 academic teachers, time management skills, staying on task, love reading, working independently and being creative. Have great social and photography skills. Please pick-up forms from the Media Center.

    (PPt Slide) The ACT Test is on Tuesday, February 28th, 2017.  The ACT is a national college admissions examination that consists of subject area tests in: English, Mathematics, Reading, Science and Writing.

    ACT results are accepted by all four-year colleges and universities in the U.S. This test is free to students. All 11th Grade Students will have the opportunity to send their scores to four colleges free of charge.  This is a state mandated test and a part of the NC Schools Accountability model.  

    Please make sure you get plenty of rest, eat breakfast, and arrive to school on time February, 28th!    

     

    (PPt Slide) The Golden Leaf Scholarship is due March 1.  West Caldwell has had winners about every year.  This scholarship is worth OVER $12,000.  PLEASE APPLY.  The link is on the West Caldwell scholarship page or you can find it on the cfnc.org website.  See your counselor for questions.

     

    Seniors: If you plan on attending community college or a four year, you have just FIVE days to file your FAFSA to get FREE MONEY to pay for college! This must be taken care of! See Ms. Sandman ASAP for assistance.

     

    Yearbooks are now $75.00 plus $6.50 for personalization. This Friday, February 24th is the last day to personalize your 2016-2017 yearbook. Go to jostens.com or see Ms. Storie for ordering information.

    Wrestling State Tournament results over the weekend:

    Devin Bumgarner finished in 9th overall at 132 pounds

    Luis De la Riva finsihed 5th overall at 113 pounds

    Shykale Steptoe won the State Championship at 220 pounds!
