    Check out the new books in the media center. One of the new non-fiction books is “50 Things You Should Know About Titanic.” From the building of the ship to recovering object's from Titanic's watery grave, the fascinating story of Titanic is explored in detail. The largest ocean liner of her time, Titanic was hailed as the ultimate in luxury travel. Just 4 days into her maiden voyage the Titanic hits an iceberg. Through eyewitness accounts and from evidence found in the wreck, Titanic's fateful voyage has been meticulously pieced together to tell a riveting story of ambition, arrogance and folly. . …

    Please turn in overdue books.

     

    Any male student who plans to attend NC State University can apply for the Balanced Man scholarship.  Students can find the link on the West Caldwell scholarship page.

    The Mu Alpha Theta Pizza party has been moved TOMORROW Friday, May 26th. See Mrs. Kimberlin if you plan to attend.

     

    This weekend the West Caldwell theatre program will be putting on a show entitled “Typecast.” Typecast is a play within a play in which a group of high school theatre students audition to be in a production of Cinder White and due to an incident with the director's ferret, the basketball coach has to step in to direct and they are all given complete opposite roles. The “nice girl” is now the villain, the diva only has 2 minutes onstage, and the quiet, almost inaudible, “ensemble” girl is now playing a leading role with actual lines!  Will the show be a complete disaster or a total win? Come see!

    Performances are Friday at 7, Saturday at 7, and Sunday at 4. Tickets are $4 and may be purchased at the door.

     

    AFS Members only-End of the Year Event- Saturday, June 3rd from 12pm – 3 pm at Julian Price Memorial Park off Blue Ridge Parkway. Sign-up with Mr. Smith in Room 324

     

    Thank you!  Thank you!  Thank you!  All Seniors who have received a scholarship need to write a thank you note to the organization that gave your scholarship to you.  Please see your counselor for help with this process.  It is important to express your gratitude for the gifts received

     

    Continental Structural Plastics is hiring.  Please see Mrs. Brigman.

    Students interested in taking a drafting class next year need to see their counselor today. This class will count as college credit.

     

    No checks will be accepted for debts.  You must have cash or a money order.

    You can still order your yearbook from Ms. Storie but you will have to have cash or money order. Price is $80.06.

     

    Attention Seniors:   Reserved Seating Requests are due by June 2nd.

     

    Seniors:  Please check the information board outside of Ms. Philyaw's room to find out if you need to book an appointment with Ms. Reese prior to graduation practice.  If your name is listed, please go by Room 315 as soon as possible

     

     

    Sports:

    All track athletes need to turn in uniforms to Coach Ramsey by TOMORROW.

    Check out the new books in the media center. One of the new books is “Wild Swans.” The summer before Ivy’s senior year is going to be golden; all bonfires, barbecues, and spending time with her best friends. For once, she will just get to be. No summer classes, none of Granddad’s intense expectations to live up to the family name. For generations, the Milbourn women have lead extraordinary lives—and died young and tragically. Granddad calls it a legacy, but Ivy considers it a curse. Why else would her mother have run off and abandoned her as a child? But when her mother unexpectedly returns home with two young daughters in tow, all of the stories Ivy wove to protect her heart start to unravel. …Please turn in overdue books.
