Mrs. Paige West-Smith, MA, CCC-SLP
I am a graduate of Appalachian State University with an undergraduate degree in Music Performance, a Master's degree in Music Performance, and a Master's degree in Communication Disorders. I have been working as a Speech Language Pathologist with Caldwell County Schools since 2005. I currently provide therapy at two K-8 schools, Collettsville and Oak Hill. I also provide speech therapy services in a rehab facility as needed. I have supervised several graduate clinicians from ASU, as well as SLP Assistant interns from Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute. I received my Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) in 2006. I am currently a Board Member at Large for the North Carolina Speech Hearing and Language Association (NCSHLA) and served as Fall Conference Chair in 2014. I am also a member of the SLP-Assistant Advisory Board. I am the principal bassoonist with the Western Piedmont Symphony in Hickory, NC and the Symphony of the Mountains in Kingsport, TN. I have the pleasure of sharing the stage with my husband of 18 years, who is also a musician.
