Message from the Superintendent of Schools:With any type of severe or unsafe weather condition, it may result in a delay, early releae or cancellation of school. This decision will be communicated to families immediately.We work closely with all emergency agencies in Caldwell County to protect and safeguard families. Below are online sites that recommend prompt action to be taken during a threatening weather event. Your immediate family comes first, but we also encourage you to check on neighbors, extended family, and friends, especially those who may be sick, incapacitated or elderly.We appreciate all the support from American Red Cross, Department of Social Services, the Caldwell County Health Department, local law enforcement and the emergency services in this county for their cooridnated efforts to ensure that Caldwell County is prepared to assist residents. Shelters - Current Status - Shelter is Closed
A pet friendly shelter was available at West Caldwell High School during Tropical Storm Florence.
Most schools in the district are identified as potential Emergency Shelter locations.

Schools are operating on a regular schedule.
Any change in school hours will be announced via phone, email, text, social media, website, radio, television and local news outlets as soon as it is deemed necessary to cancel, delay or early release.
