Hi, I’m Ashlyn Whitt!  I've been at GFMS since 2016, and I’m thrilled to be here!  I moved to North Carolina from Minnesota in 2014 and fell in love with this area.  I graduated from Minnesota State University, Mankato, with a bachelor's degree in psychology in 2014 and from Lenoir-Rhyne University with a master's degree in school counseling in 2016.   Throughout my education and experience, I have developed a passion for working with middle school students.  My favorite part about school counseling is being able to establish meaningful relationships with students and to make a positive impact on their academic, personal, social, and career development.  I’m excited to continue getting to know the students at GFMS and am looking forward to helping them any way I can!
