Degrees and Certifications:

Rob Priode

Originally from the coalfields of Soutwest Virginia, I have been teaching for 27 years - 11 years in Caldwell County (Granite Falls Middle School and West Caldwell High School) and 16 years in Burke County (Heritage Middle School). I teach young'uns. Not English, but the kids. My assignment at West Caldwell includes Communication Skills and English I. I enjoy what I do because I have the opportunity to make a difference. I have coached baseball, football, and volleyball. I was the head baseball coach at Herritage for 16 years.

The people of the West Caldwell High School community are some of the finest folks I have ever had the privelege of meeting. Our administrative suite is nonpareil and our English department chair, Evette Hagan, cares deeply about the education our students receive.

My wife, Dr. Kim Priode, is the Dean of the Health and Science College at Lees-McRae University.
