Dear Students, Parents, and Guardians,

Welcome to Granite Falls Middle School!  My name is Josh Reed, and I am excited to be starting another new year alongside you and your family.  This year, I will be joining the 8th grade team and will be teaching math alongside my teammates Mrs. Nichole Frasure (ELA and SS) and Mrs. Amanda Gruen (Science).

I graduated from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and I grew up right here in Granite Falls.  I began my teaching career in 2015, and I have had the privilege of teaching in 8th, 7th, and 6th grade. I was drawn to the field of education by my own passion for learning and inspiring a love of learning in young people.  My mom is also a middle school math and science teacher, and I have spent many years tutoring middle and high school students.  I know that all students can be successful in school, and I am excited to get to celebrate that with you.
