My name is Kim Forester and I feel it is a privilege to serve as the School Counselor at Caldwell Early College High School! I spent my childhood in Maryland before my family moved to Wilkesboro, North Carolina while I was in high school. My love for the mountains led me to Appalachian State University where I earned a Bachelor Degree in Family and Consumer Science. It was when I had the opportunity to work as a Rehabilitation Counselor for the Services for the Blind that I earned my Master’s Degree as a Licensed Professional Counselor from Lenoir-Rhyne University in 2004. Upon completion of my degree, I began my career as a high school counselor.

I am in my 17th year as a high school counselor, the first 13 years were in a traditional high school. I began working at Caldwell Early College High School in 2017. During my free time, I enjoy reading, hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. I have two married daughters, and three wonderful grandchildren that bring me much joy.
