I am a Caldwell County native and graduate of Hibriten High School. I received my bachelor’s degree from Appalachian State University. My teaching career began in special education in Fredericksburg, VA. I later taught middle grades Language Arts and Social Studies at Hudson Middle during which time I became a National Board Certified teacher. In 2012, I made the move from Hudson Middle School to the Early College where I have taught Seminar and History.  I now work as a Teacher Support Specialist and have the privilege of helping teachers grow in their profession.

I love to read, spend time with my family, and travel to beautiful beaches in the Caribbean.
