My name is Haley Reitzel, and I’ve been a member of the CECHS family since 2014. I teach English I and Communication Skills for 9th graders and act as a co-sponsor for Beta Club. In 2013, I graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in English, Secondary Education. I am also a student in the MFA Creative Writing program at Lenoir Rhyne University. Currently, I live in Taylorsville with my husband and our miniature schnauzers. I am excited to continue teaching 9th grade English, as we explore texts together and learn to become better writers and communicators. When I’m not at work, I enjoy reading, writing, traveling, and spending all of my time outdoors with my family and pups.
