Welcome, all! My name is Kevin Hagan; I currently live in rural Watauga County, and I am thrilled to be teaching English here at HMS!! I hold several degrees in English or Liberal Arts, and a Master's Certificate in education. Being outside in nature is my passion. I love hiking, camping, and kayaking in the Southern Appalachians, and when I am not engaging in those activities, fixing or building something, or doing schoolwork, I read. My favorite authors are the Apostle John, Solomon, Henry David Thoreau, Emily Dickinson, and Naomi Novik.

I am a dedicated Christian and am very grateful to be allowed to teach.
