Important Grading Information for Students in Grades 9-11
According to NCDPI’s grading requirements for this year, students in grades 9-11 and non graduating seniors are required to select between their numeric grade, a passcode (PC-19), or a withdrawal code (WC-19) for each of their courses this semester. The selections students make will determine how their grades appear on their high school transcript. If a student chooses to take the numeric grade, the student will receive credit for the course AND the grade will be calculated into their GPA. A passcode (PC-19) will give credit for the course, but will not impact the GPA calculation. The withdrawal code (WC-19) will only be used if a student is failing a course.
- Students can review their final numeric grades in Powerschool as early as 3:00 pm on Friday, May 29th.
- Students will receive an SCHS student survey in their caldwellschools.com email account on Friday, May 29th, where they, in collaboration with their parent(s), will document their grade selections for each course.
- The survey must be completed by the end of the day on Thursday, June 4.
