Hello! My name is Lauren Vines and I am the fifth-grade teacher at Kings Creek School. I am from Collettsville, North Carolina where I have lived my entire life. I graduated from Appalachian State University in December 2019 with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education, and just recently obtained a Masters Degree in Reading Education with a special focus in Autism Spectrum Disorders. I have wanted to be a teacher since I was 16 years old when I started volunteering at Collettsville School in a fourth-grade classroom. K-8 schools have always had a special place in my heart, so I am thrilled to be a part of the Kings Creek family!

I was recently honored to be selected as Rookie Teacher of the Year for Caldwell County Schools for the 2020-2021 school year, which I feel so blessed to have received! I owe it all to the Lord and my students for inspiring me to be the best teacher I can be! I am very excited to teach fifth grade and I look forward to an amazing year with my students!
