Hello! 

My name is Larry Minton and I am from Granite Falls, North Carolina. Growing up in Caldwell County, I attended Granite Falls Elementary School, Granite Falls Middle School, and Caldwell Early College High School. As an alumnus of CECHS (2018), I hope to continue to inspire and motivate students to be ready for college, career, and life! 

In the 10th grade, I developed a love for history and learning. Pursuing a degree in history education, I attended Appalachian State University where I received a bachelor’s degree in History, Social Studies education. After graduating from Appalachian State in in 2020, I received my teaching certificate in both middle grades and secondary social studies education. 

Outside of school, I love to spend time with my family and friends. You can usually find me in Boone, North Carolina where I love to visit local restaurants or ride the historic Blue Ridge Parkway. No matter what, you can always count that Cooper, my pet dog won't be too far behind.
