I was born and raised in southwest Michigan on the beaches of Lake Michigan. After graduating from Michigan State University in 1979 with a degree in Physical Education and Math, I taught high school and college math in Florida for 21 years before moving to North Carolina.  In North Carolina, I taught 8th grade math and Math 1 at Hudson Middle School before moving to Caldwell Early College High School. I am excited to be here at CECHS to finish my career. This year will bring many changes in the way I teach, and I am eager to learn new skills.

When not at CECHS, I spend my time with my wife of 36 years, my daughter, my son, and my grandson. My hobbies include golf, fly fishing, and woodworking.
