I attended Appalachian State University where I obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development (Birth through Kindergarten) and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education. I earned National Board Certification in 2011. I began my teaching career in Caldwell County in 2003 with the Lessons on Wheels mobile preschool program and later came to HES as a kindergarten teacher. I have a beautiful son, Emmett.
