Welcome to 5th grade!!!
This year we will be learning about everything from ecosystems to forces and motion. We will be reading many exciting books, such as Thunder Rolling in the Mountains and The River Between Us. We are going to learn how much we really apply math to our everyday lives. There will be lots of hands-on activities and active learning! Get ready and hang on tight for a great school year!
I welcome you to the fifth grade and I am so excited about this year!

Reading Practice: Every night your child should read his/her assigned book. This is important to help your child's growth as a reader. Please sign your child's reading log after he/she has read at least 30 minutes. Your child needs to read Monday through Thursday, but they are encouraged to read every day.
-
Any unfinished class work: Any work not finished in class will need to be completed and sent to school the following day.
Occasionally, there will be short math or reading worksheets sent home to complete or science flashcards to study for homework.
