The Parent Portal
Parents, Did you know that you can check your student's grades on PowerSchool, on Canvas and on Moodle? We encourage you to look at your student's academic progress by logging into their account on Canvas to check their high school classes and to their account on Moodle to check on their college classes. Check with your student to get access to his or her Canvas or Moodle account.
The Parent Portal in PowerSchool is a very valuable tool for parents. Just like social media and other apps on your phone, it will give you notifications when grades are posted and absences are recorded for your student. This not only keeps parents "in the know," but also gives parents a way to follow their child's progress. You can download it on android, iPhones, tablets, desktops - almost any electronic device.
To get access (user name and password info), simply fill out this POWERSCHOOL PARENT PORTAL FORM today. If you have questions about PowerSchool grades or absences reported, contact your child's teacher. If you have questions about accessing the portal, call our school office at 828-759-4640.
Meal Distribution Information
The Child Nutrition Department will provide a 5-day meal packet (5 breakfast/lunch meals) to children ages 0 to 18. Meal distribution will operate similarly to how the district served meals over the summer months. On Wednesdays of each week starting Sept. 9, parents may collect the meal packets through curbside distribution from 11-1 pm and 4-6 pm at the following sites: Granite Falls Elementary, Gamewell Elementary, Hudson Elementary, and Davenport A+ School. The drive-thru allows adults to safely exit their vehicles and collect food for each child in the household. Students are not required to be present, nor is qualifying information required.
