    Moving Up Night: Who: 5th, 6th, and 7th When: Monday, May 16th, 2022 Where: WLMS Time: 2 Sessions Pick the best time for you: 5:00pm or 6:00pm Session 1 in Classroom-5:00-5:30pm Athletics and PTA Meetings in Gym/Cafeteria- 5:30-6:00pm Session 2 in Classroom-6:00-6:30pm Find out what the expectations are for next year and meet the teachers. If you are interested in sports or volunteering/PTA come to the athletics and PTA meeting at 5:30pm.

  • Congratulations!!!

    Congratulations Chorus and Mrs. Reid!!! All four groups - 6th Grade, 7th Grade, 8th Grade, and Treble Chorus - earned a SUPERIOR rating at MPA on Monday and Tuesday! Congratulations Band and Mr. Reid!!! The WLMS 7th Grade band earned a SUPERIOR rating on Tuesday and a the WLMS 8th Grade Band earned their 36th consecutive SUPERIOR rating yesterday at band MPA! We are so proud of our band and chorus!!!

  • 2022-2023 HHS Cheerleading Tryout Sign Up

Tryout Clinic Dates at HHS: April 25th - 3:30 - 5:00 April 26th - 3:30 -5:00 April 27th - 4:00 - 6:30 April 28th - 3:30 -7:00 –Final Tryout/Judging *All workouts, tryouts, practices are closed. No spectators allowed. If you are involved in a spring sport, you will be responsible for learning the material missed. Material will be taught and reviewed during the first two days of the tryout clinic. April 27th will be an open gym for participants to go over material with other girls. Coaches will be on hand for supervision and questions. The final tryout and judging will be on April 28th. Please discuss any conflicts you may have with dates ahead of time with the coaches. You must have an active physical to participate in workouts or tryout. Physicals must be on the Caldwell County Schools Physical form. You can visit www.caldwellschools.com for a copy.     CCS Readers: It’s time to have some fun! Have you ever wanted to escape your daily routine and explore the mysteries in the world around you? If so, the CCS Virtual Book Club is for you! The CCS Virtual Book Club is designed for students in grades 4 -10. This begins the week of February 28th.

  • Wildcats Care

    Thank you to everyone who donated canned goods for Yokefellow of Caldwell County. We collected over 1,000 cans as well as $58. Way to go, Wildcats!! The homeroom winners for the most donated canned goods are: 6th grade - Holder 7th grade - Bentley 8th grade - Jolley These homerooms will enjoy Krispy Kreme donuts. The individual who donated the most canned goods is Ryver Moss. Congratulations, Ryver. Mr. Bridges will be stopping by for his "pie in the face." Those students who donated 20 or more canned goods will have DEN free time that will be announced after break.

  • WLMS Ski Trip

    SNOW SKIING TRIP GRADES 6-8 SPONSORING TEACHER: SHEA BRIDGES Contact: sbridges@caldwellschools.com DATES: Tuesday, January 11 (6th grade), Wednesday, January 12 (7th grade), Thursday, January 13 (8th grade) DEPARTURE FROM William Lenoir – 8:00 AM RETURN TO William Lenoir – 5:30 PM This trip is open to all students in grades 6 - 8. Students MUST be in good academic standing and exhibit exemplary behavior. Parents may go on this trip and can pay for their ticket through the school to get the discounted rate. Parents who are going must provide their own transportation. Students are REQUIRED to ride the bus to Appalachian Ski Mountain, but may ride home with a parent or guardian. Attention: In order to be eligible to go on the ski trip students may have not missing assignments and no more than 1 demerit starting January 4th. Please turn in money to Kim Thompson in the front office.

  • Congratulations to our School Spelling Bee Winners!

    Lauren B. is our 1st place winner, Jazrion W. came in 2nd place and our Lyrik M. came in 3rd place. Lauren will represent William Lenoir at the County Spelling Bee on January 21st and the Education Center. We are so proud of these ladies. Thank you to all of our other participants as well, you all did a great job! Thank you to Mrs. Ellison for being our pronouncer and Mrs. Lawing and Mrs. O'Quinn for being our judges.

  • Give our new Art teacher, Jacqueline Cahan, a warm welcome to WLMS

    My name is Jacqueline Cahan, I am a resident of Boone, NC and a graduate of Appalachian State University in Art Education. I like to spend a lot of my free time outdoors walking, hiking, or just being in nature. In my free time I enjoy drawing, weaving, painting, and spending time with my husband, Kendall. I am excited to be here and looking forward to creating art with WLMS students!

  • Please welcome our new 6th grade Social Studies teacher, Riley Price

    I am Mr. Riley Price. I am a graduate of Appalachian State University! I grew up in Caldwell county my whole life and I went to Hudson elementary and middle school, and I am a graduate of South Caldwell. I just recently got married over the summer to my beautiful and amazing wife Lauren. I am a lifelong fan of the New England Patriots, I love spending time with my family and friends, and I am certified to teach Social Studies in high school and middle school.

    Upcoming Holiday Schedule for Students, staff, and families are excited about the upcoming holidays in December. The following days are local, state, and/or federal holidays observed in the Caldwell County Schools, December 17 - Early Release Day that ends the 2nd 9-week grading period and the first semester of school. December 20 - January 3 - Holiday Break (schools closed to students) December 23, 24, and 27 - Christmas Holiday December 31 - New Year's Holiday Students return on January 4, 2022.

  • Pink Out Donation

    William Lenoir Middle School presented McCreary Cancer Center with a donation check in the amount of $2100.29 from the Pink Out fundraiser this year. Thank you all for all of your support.
