TRIO/ETS
TRIO/ETS is a free, federally-funded program designed to help qualifying middle and high school students prepare for college. We work specifically with students who meet one or more of the following qualifications: Demonstrated Financial Need (for example -- if you've qualified for free or reduced lunch in the past) Learning or Physical Differences (this can include anxiety, ADHD, etc.) Will be First-Generation College Student (this means that neither parent/guardian has completed a 4-year degree.)

ESSA Notification and Plan
As required by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), all public schools must meet the 95% assessment participation rate for students enrolled in tested grades. Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and consequent quarantines of students, West Caldwell High School did not meet the 95% assessment participation requirement during the 2021 - 2022 school year. Sign Out Procedures
Non-Driving Students: In order for a student to be signed out for the day, a parent/guardian or someone on the student's pick-up list must physically come into the office with a PICTURE ID (no texts, emails or phone calls will be accepted) to sign a student out. Student Drivers: All notes to leave must be brought to the office by 8:00 am with the parent's full name and phone number. No notes will be accepted after 8:00 am. After 8:00 am, a parent/guardian or someone on the student's pick-up list must physically come into the office with a PICTURE ID (no texts, emails or phone calls will be accepted) to sign a student out.

SENOIR Immunization Requirement
The NC State Immunization Requirement states that Seniors are required to show proof of current immunizations (which includes a 2nd dose of Meningococcal) on the first day of school. Please check with your primary care provider to see if you have received this vaccine and that your immunizations are current. If you have not received the second dose of Meningococcal or are missing another state required vaccine please make arrangements with your primary care provider or the local health department over the summer to obtain these.
