Congratulations to the following students selected as the districtwide Character Education representatives for exemplifying cooperation, the character education trait of the month for March:
Elementary School Level: Ireland Wylie, Whitnel Elementary School
Third-grader Ireland Wylie is always a team player with a positive attitude regardless of the circumstances. She never excludes anyone from activities and encourages others to do the same. At a young age, she embodies the spirit of cooperation.
Middle School: Caleb Triplett, Kings Creek School
Caleb is always willing to collaborate and work with his classmates to complete a common goal. He eagerly participates in class discussions and effectively tackles whatever task is at hand, even if it’s challenging!
High School: Denise Giron, West Caldwell High School
Denise is always willing to help, whether helping her peers, teachers, or others, she works cooperatively and enthusiastically to put the good of the group above her own personal interests. As an outstanding student and talented chorus member, Denise gravitates toward opportunities to work with others.
The Character Education program is the teaching and modeling of core ethical values that are the hallmark of a safe, informed, and balanced community. The program focuses on monthly Character Education traits that reflect the intent of the program.
