At the Board of Education Work Session held today, Superintendent Dr. Don Phipps made three administrative recommendations that were unanimously approved by the School Board.
Brook Cooper fills the principal vacancy at Lower Creek Elementary School. Cooper completed her Masters in School Administration at Appalachian State University and currently holds the assistant principal position at West Caldwell High School.
Jenni Wren Frye returns to the district as the principal at Sawmills Elementary School. Frye completed her Masters in Administration at Appalachian State University and has an extensive background in theater arts, an area in which she holds an undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Science in Theater Education from East Carolina University. She is presently an assistant principal and testing coordinator at Bunker Hill High School in Catawba County and previously served as an assistant principal at Davenport A+ School for one year from 2019-2020.
Julie D. Hall moves into a newly established position to direct and manage the online instructional option referred to as Caldwell Online. Hall completed her Masters in Administration at Appalachian State University. She will successfully conclude her service as an assistant principal at South Caldwell High School, which began in 2012.
The three administrators begin their new roles and responsibilities on a two-year contract effective July 1, 2021.
