Feb. 12th we will have make up pictures and club photos taken in the gym. Any student, 9-12, that has not had pictures taken needs to do so on the 12th. This will be your yearbook photo as well as your ID photo. Please be prepared to have your picture made on Tuesday!
Have you scrubbed your mug recently? If not, now you can! Scrub-Ur-Mug is a coffee-sugar scrub that the OCS Club here at West Caldwell has been working hard to produce over the past couple weeks. It is a simple product with only three active ingredients of coffee, brown sugar, and coconut oil. Coffee-sugar scrubs have many health benefits including: exfoliating your skin, helps prevent aging skin, moisturizing your skin. We will be selling these during all three lunches. The 2nd Annual Benefit Concert will be this Friday, February 8th at 6:00 pm, at First United Methodist Church, Lenoir. This is a donation-based fundraiser for West Caldwell High School Band, featuring student musicians and local talent. There will be light refreshments and prizes. Come out and support your WCHS Band.
Anyone interested in pursuing a career in public safety, Chief Smith of the Hibriten Fire Academy will be here, Monday, February 11th in the cafeteria at 9:20 am to meet you and discuss the advantages of enrolling in the course. This class will cover Fire, Law Enforcement, Medical, Courts and other venues of Public Safety. Several of your former classmates who went through the academy, who have now graduated are currently employed in Public Safety. So come out and see what the excitement is about.
The 2019 Prom Date will be May 11th at Club Cola in Granite Falls. Only West Caldwell juniors and seniors who are in good standing and who have paid ALL debts (class dues, club money, book fees, etc) are eligible to attend the prom for free. Intent forms are available in the office or through Ms. McKinney.
If you have been accepted into a 4 year college and rank in the top 5% of the senior class see Mrs. Miller about the Coffey Scholarship. Applications are due to Mrs. Miller February 19.
Congratulations to the varsity boys’ basketball team on their 60-48 win last night vs. St. Stephens.
Wrestling will be in regionals at St. Stephen’s today and tomorrow.
Tennis practice will begin on Wednesday February 13th. All those interested contact Coach Taladay. You must have a school physical on file to practice.
The first day of Spring Track will be Wednesday Feb. 13. Meet in media center at 3:00. If you have any questions or are unable to attend, see Mr. Ramsey's room-332.
Baseball tryouts will begin February 13th on the baseball field at 3:15.
