SAT word of the day is hologram (HOLL uh gram). The meaning of hologram is a three-dimensional image created by laser beams. Example:  Tampa Museum has a hologram display which produces many ghostly images.

Juniors and seniors – The College Fair will be tomorrow, September 11th in the cafeteria.

There will be a meeting for Beta club officers after school today in Mrs. Hatton's room 343.  Please let Mrs. Hatton or Logan Lovins know if you will be unable to attend.  

All students who signed up as interested in AFS need to go by room 324 and pay Mr. Smith their $10 club dues to officially join and be able to receive a club card."

PSAT sign-ups will begin Monday, September 16th through Wednesday, September 18th with Mrs. Pippen during lunch in the Cafeteria. The PSAT is open to juniors, and sophomores. The cost is $17. If you are thinking about taking college classes while in high school, it is a great idea to take the PSAT. Scores can be used to help you be eligible to take CCC&TI courses. Juniors must take the PSAT their Junior year to qualify for the Merritt Scholarship.


Attention All Seniors

Just a reminder that Sunday, September 15th from 2:00 - 5:00 will be Senior paint your parking spot day for those of you who have paid the extra $20. Money and approval of what is being painted is due to Mr. Hosfield by Friday. Be sure to spread the word to all seniors. This is the first time this has ever been done.  You can set the bar high!  From Mr. Styron

Seniors who are in the top 10 of your class, please see Mrs. Wakefield about a scholarship if you plan on applying to UNC-Chapel Hill, NC State, or Davidson.  More information about these scholarships are on the West Caldwell scholarship page.


The Lady Warrior Tennis Team lost to McDowell yesterday by a score of 8 to 1. Winning in Doubles for the Warriors were Alexandrya Bell and Maura Medina-Miranda. Winning in exhibition doubles were Brooke Wilcox and Deanna Perez. The lady Warriors next match is at home on Wednesday when the play Foard High School.

Cross Country will meet at Riverbend Middle (Bunker Hill)
