STUDENT INFORMATION:
The ROTC Blood Drive is today!. Any 16-year-old student who signed up to give blood today must have a permission form signed by a parent or guardian.
Students, your $10 class dues need to be paid to homeroom teachers by Oct. 31
Tonight is WCHS Fall Choral Concert at Lenoir Presbyterian Church (on Kirkwood St. downtown) and it begins at 6:00pm. Admission by donation.
Having a goal and working toward it is a wonderful way to deal with stress in life.
You have ONE LIFE….so let’s make ONE PLAN…..What do you plan to do after high school? Military, Career, College?

One Life - One Plan- What’s yours?
All HOSA Members - club communications will be sent to your student email accounts. HOSA dues of $25.00 are due Friday, October 25th. The HOSA club will meet after school on Wednesday, October 23rd, at 3:00pm. The meeting will last approximately 30 - 45 minutes. HOSA members are invited to a meet and greet “Pumpkin Painting” activity on Tuesday, October 29th, in room 217 from 3pm – 5pm. Cost is $5.00 (for a pumpkin). Please turn money in by Friday, October 25th.
1st load bus riders cannot ride 2nd load. This is the second warning, so any 1st load bus rider staying on for 2nd load will be written up.
FFA pumpkin carving is this Wednesday after school! Those FFA members wanting to participate need to bring Ms. Adams their $3 before Wednesday!
All students who drive - the student parking lot needs to be cleared by 3:10 in the afternoon. Tickets will be issued for students that have not left the lot by 3:10, which will affect prom and tickets to graduation.
Students who signed up to help with the Haunted Trail at Collettsville this Friday, October 25 please check your email for updates from Mrs. Hatton
Any student who has not paid their AFS $10 club dues to Mr. Smith by this Wednesday, October 23rd will be dropped from the roster. Also, those who are members and have not turned in their application form need to do so this week ASAP.
SENIOR INFORMATION:
Seniors, this week is College Application Week. Please take advantage of this week to apply to as many colleges for free as shown on the flyer. Tomorrow - Wednesday, October 23rd, it will be College Application Day here at West Caldwell and you will have a chance to miss one class period to work on college applications in the media center. Ms. Vargas will be distributing passes to your teachers to hand out tomorrow.
Reminder that today there will be a College Workshop after school starting at 4:30 pm in Rm 215. This is a great opportunity to work on college applications or anything college related.
ANY Senior whose parent/guardian is a veteran, please see Mrs. Wakefield TODAY for scholarship information. You could qualify for a lot of scholarship money because of this. Please see her today!
SPORTS:
Congratulations to the varsity men's soccer team on their 6-1 win last night over East Burke. Great job Coach Clark, Coach Dyer, and players. Scoring for the warriors was Fracesco with 2 goals, Jose Ortiz with 2 goals, Eleazar Zamora and Brian Lopez with 1 goal each. Eleazar and Fracesco each had 2 assists. Fracesco broke the single season scoring record last night held by Cesar Cruz-Nava. The record was 29, Fracesco's 2 goals gives him 31 on the year!! Eleazar is racking up goals also!!
Any girl interested in playing basketball needs to see Coach Mangum this week. Also, there will be workouts for anyone that is wanting to play basketball Wednesday and Thursday 3:15-4:45. Must have physical and concussion form turned in.
Track workouts will be held Tuesday and Thursday this week. Meet in Coach Bowman's room.
