SAT word of the day is grotesque (groh TESK). The meaning of grotesque is bizarre or outlandish, as in character or appearance. Example: Many of Edgar Allen Poe’s short stories are grotesque in nature.

STUDENT INFORMATION:
Just a reminder that all 11th and 12th graders who plan on attending this prom MUST have a prom contract on file in order to even be considered eligible to attend. These forms are located in the main office. Ask Mrs. Hayes. The prom guest forms are also available in the main office and must be turned in by April 20th.
If you would like to be in the video production class (produce the morning news) or a media assistant, please come by and pick up a form. Students must have good attendance, references from 2 academic teachers, and GPA of 2.5 or higher.

Pre-Apprenticeship Opportunity with Continental USA for students that will turn 18 by August. It is among the leading automotive suppliers in the world and is located in Burke County. Students must have a 2.5 GPA and good attendance. This is a PAID Apprenticeship. Open house TONIGHT from 6-7pm in Morganton.
SENIOR INFORMATION:
Seniors interested in pursuing a degree in an agricultural-related field check out the Farm Bureau scholarship application! The link is on the West Caldwell scholarship page. (You might be surprised what fields are related to agriculture....see Mrs. Wakefield to confirm if your major is related!!)
The Lenoir Woman's Club $2000 scholarship is now available for male OR female students planning to attend a 4 year college. Please see Wakefield for the application. It is due March 10.
