January is National Blood Donor Month. Blood donation is safer than ever before and saves lives. Millions of people including cancer patients, organ recipients, and victims of accidents rely on blood donations! Give Blood.

Attention All Grades: There will be a college representative from UNC Greensboro coming to West on January 26th. She will be in the lunchroom, come ask her questions about college! If you have questions, talk to Ms. Moskowitz, the college adviser."

SENIOR INFORMATION:
Seniors going to college....are you interested in being awarded a scholarship of up to $14,000? If so, check out the Golden Leaf Scholarship on the WCHS website. It is due March 1. The application link in on the website.
If you are a Senior who is planning on a career in agriculture, food, natural resource sciences, or related academic disciplines, please see Mrs. Wakefield as soon as possible. The scholarship deadline is January 31.
WOW SENIORS!!!! Have you seen the WCHS Scholarship page lately? There are many local scholarships posted for you...Yes
If you plan on attending any NC state public university and you or your parent is eligible to be a SECU member, you may qualify for this scholarship. Please see Mrs. Wakefield and check out the posting on the WCHS scholarship page. This scholarship application is due back to Wakefield by March 1.
FAFSA workshops coming up on January 31 at 4:30pm- 6:30pm and February 16 at 3pm-5pm. If you want to go to college right after high school (2 year or 4 year) you need to complete the FAFSA by March 1st. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. See Rachel Moskowitz.

Baseball tryouts begin Feb. 14 and times will be 3:30 to 6. Must have physical on file
