WARRIOR NEWS

April 27, 2022

We would like to thank our wonderful ladies in the office, Kristi Ramsey, Cathy Hubbard, and Missy Hayes for all they do for WCHS.

Today is National Babe Ruth Day, one of the greatest baseball players of all time. He helped the NY Yankees win seven pennants and four World Series. He played for three different teams, spending 22 seasons in Major League Baseball. Come by the Media Center and check out some great books about Babe Ruth.

SAT Word of the Day: Banter (BAN tur) means a playful conversation; good-natured teasing. Example: The professional baseball player carried on lighthearted banter with admiring the teens who waited in line for his autograph.

Quote of the Day: “Never let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game.” Babe Ruth
