Nominate CCS Gradute for Hall of Honor

If you know someone who is an accomplished professional or an outstanding community advocate who is also a graduate of a Caldwell County high school, this person would be eligible to be nominated for the Caldwell County Schools Hall of Honor. The annual event has recognized 78 Caldwell County graduates who have made significant contributions to their profession and/or community and who have exhibited exemplary character throughout their careers.

Nominations will be accepted for the 2019 inductees until January 4, 2019. The 2019 inductees will be honored at the Sixteenth Annual Hall of Honor Induction Ceremony scheduled Friday, May 24, 2019, 6:00 pm at the JE Broyhill Civic Center.

A nominee must meet one of the following criteria to be considered as a candidate for the Hall of Honor: 1) be a graduate of a Caldwell County Schools, 2) while attending Caldwell County Schools was admitted to the NC School of Mathematics and Science or the NC School of the Arts and received a high school diploma from that institution, or 3)ended his/her secondary education as a Caldwell County Schools student, did not receive a high school diploma, but did receive a post-secondary degree from an institution of higher learning.

The public is invited to nominate qualified individuals who meet one of the above criteria. Nomination forms are available at the Education Center located at 1914 Hickory Blvd. in Lenoir (across from the JE Broyhill Civic Center) or online at www.caldwellschools.com listed under announcements or the community tab.

The Hall of Honor selection committee consists of representatives from each high school district, the school system, and the community. Once a nomination form is received, the nomination stays on file for five years with the Hall of Honor Committee for reconsideration each year, eliminating the need to resubmit.
