3rd Annual Classroom Innovation and Technology Showcase
At the 3rd Annual Classroom Innovation and Technology Showcase held this week nearly 150 faculty, staff, administrators, and community members participated in the three-day virtual event that provided 80 sessions of online technology instruction, ranging from digital literacy to virtual learning environments to technology tools and resources in the workplace.
“From the feedback we received, participants invested their time in quality, thought-provoking online sessions that were packed full of actionable ideas and strategies that will assist them in reaching their professional outcomes,” said Susan Walker, event organizer and professional development coordinator.
Besides support from leadership in the Caldwell County Schools, the Education Foundation Inc. of Caldwell County sponsored the event by providing electronic door prizes each day, such as an Oculus headset, Samsung earbuds, and Alexa auto. The Museum of Science also donated “Try It! Kit” for those that participated in the “Introduction to Engineering Design with Problem Based Learning” and for Matt Miller fans, author of Tech Like a Pirate, Do More with Google Classroom, and Ditch That Textbook, several of his titles were included in the giveaways.
